There will be a nominal prize as the owners of this here show have limited budgets. As usual, Cocktail Hour has the final say of any content posted on our show. Oh, and don’t forget to have your story looked at by a friend or two before submitting your work of art. All entries should be submitted in a Word or Pages document no later than midnight central standard time, October 15, 2011. Email entries to cocktailhour.show@gmail.com. So, what are you waiting for? Sharpen the pencil or open your word processing system and get busy! Your adoring public awaits!

  1. Ooooooh. I like this challenge. I will definitely cook some things up. What do you mean about owning the content posted on your show? Does that mean that I would no longer retain copyright on my story? Enquiring minds want to know.

  2. No, as author you retain ownership of the story. We have the right to post the content and use it on the show. Hope that helps.

  3. Does the use of “bearded clam” have to be in reference to what is usually meant, or can it be used in some other way?

    • It can be used in any way, as long as the words bearded clam appear as a phrase in the story.

      Same with Cocktail Hour.

      Good luck!

  4. Hello, Not Frank Yankovic. I’m going to let Rev handle this question since she’s the bearded clam queen. 🙂
