Bar Rag – Bearded Clam Challenge #2

We’re thrilled to announce the Second Annual (yes, we missed last year) Bearded Clam Challenge! Andy only cringed a little bit about the bearded clam part but she loves to see me happy.

The rules are the same as the last time. All entries must be original (no fan fic), between 10,000 and 30,000 words, be edited or beta read, and contain the phrases “Cocktail Hour” and “Bearded Clam.” Any genre or topic is fine – it’s completely up to you. Let your creativity run wild and free!

Submissions must be received in a rtf, or Word like document in the info@cocktailhour.us inbox no later than July 15th. The winners will be announced during our 3rd Anniversary show at the beginning of September.

There will be prizes but we just haven’t decided on what they will be yet.

So spread the word, kick your muse in the ass, and get those entries ready!

You can post questions here or email them to info@cocktailhour.us.

  2. […] Cocktail Hour – It turns out the Bearded Clam business they’ve got going on over at Cocktail Hour is a writing challenge. The rules are pretty simple. Cheri The Rev made me feel like an ass (actually, it was more that she was really nice and I was just an ass all on my own), so I’m thinking about participating. If I can figure out what in the world to do with the Bearded Clam. Check out the rules and whatnot HERE. […]

  3. […] Cocktail Hour - June 14, episode 68 with Amy Dawson Robertson. Listen to the episode HERE. Cocktail Hour – Don’t forget about the Bearded Clam Challenge. I know it sounds intimidating, but it’s really just a cool writing challenge with a scary name. The deadline to submit is July 15. Check out the details HERE. […]
