Episode 19 – Linda Crist and Erin Dutton

Join us for an indepth discussion of Linda Crist’s Galveston 1900: Swept Away (http://www.academyofbards.org/fanfic/t/texbard_galveston1.html) as we enjoy delicious classic margaritas! Linda was a great guest and we’re hoping to have her join us again in the near future. She’s working on a pirate story and you KNOW how much we LOVE pirate stories!!

We also had a very brief debate on Erin Dutton’s A Place to Rest (http://erindutton.com/APlacetoRest.html). Rev loves the book and Andy couldn’t find a single redeeming quality. You’ll all have to weigh in and let us know how you feel about it. And even though Rev said she doesn’t like Andy anymore, she really does. A lot. Blame it on the tequila!

Speaking of tequila, here’s the recipe we used for the margaritas. Andy had hers on the rocks and Rev enjoyed the blended variety.

In a shaker add:

2 tsp sugar
2 oz fresh lime juice
1 1/2 oz tequila
1/2 oz triple sec

Shake then pour in a glass filled with ice. Before you pour the mixture in the glass you can rub the rim of the glass with lime juice then dip into kosher salt if you like.

We both used less lime juice because we used the bottled stuff and neither of us used salt. Just in case you were wondering…
