This book was a load of fun to talk about. And it got a little heated at times. We’re looking forward to knowing your take!
Also, possibly the best line in the show comes from Colette Moody: It’s a well-written book… if you don’t have a soul.

First of all, tell Colette that when she has a new book I would love a live show.
I read and watched this work a very long time ago (I was born before it came out). I didn’t notice the misogyny or racism at the time, but we didn’t did we? That’s just how life was as much as I hated it. I know there has been a movement to “clean up” books like The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. But isn’t that white-washing history? The Well of Loneliness was the first lesbian fiction I read. It was also one of the most depressing books I have ever read. Should we rewrite it because it’s disturbing and fatalistic? We have to face the fact that racism, misogyny, and homophobia have been around a very long time. My two cents.
Cheri, I love In BF Tennessee and have fiber optic internet. Don’t you have that choice? LOL
That should be I live…
