The Best of Cocktail Hour Productions 2012

header.jpgAndy and I spent some time together reminiscing about some of our favorite episodes from last year. Before we announced which the listeners voted as their favorite episodes, we shared some clips from some of the ones we like the best. We hope you enjoy listening and remembering just as much as we did.

A big congratulations to our Best of 2012 winners!

Cocktail Hour Episode: Episode 52 – Ann McMan

Flicks & Swizzle Sticks: Tie – Women in Action and The Greatest Movies I’ve Never Seen

Bar Rag, Conversations at the Bar, and Last Call: Caring for Kara

Thanks to all of our wonderful listeners who took the time to cast votes. We couldn’t do these shows without you! We’re working to make the episodes of 2013 so good that picking your favorites next time will be even harder!

  1. I would like to state for the record-it was the Evil Dead Show that I talked all over Andy. Women in Action with our favorite Canadian Megan!

Great show and I love you guys for keeping me around. ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. What a wonderful show!! I am so glad Kara won for other, she is truly a sweet person!! I cannot even begin to tell you how much you both mean to me and how this show helps me forget stuff! I just really love it! Thank you for all the hard work you all do to keep this going for free! I mean you even have to pay for your booze!! THAT ain’t right!! We need to get you a donate button or something!! LOL

  3. Great Show! Loved reminiscing about the various shows and laughing again listing to the tapes. Moody is a Hoot! I really appreciate your hard work. Thank You Andy & Rev.

  4. Hi!
Another great show! Andy and Rev,
every episode always makes me laugh ๐Ÿ˜€
I also really appreciate all the hard work you guys do, ๐Ÿ™‚
There definitely should be a donate button! LOL
I’m glad I have got so many more old shows to listen to, especially to authors I don’t know.

I can’t believe I won Cari hunters desolation point, book ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I had to listen to the beginning of the show a couple of times ๐Ÿ˜€ I kinda still don’t believe it.
Can’t wait to start reading it!

  5. So happy to have won a Nat Burns book! Should I expect to see an email from her?

This was a fun show. I’ve only listened to a few of the 2012 shows, so I didn’t vote, but it was nice to hear a few clips. Looking forward to the rest of the 2013 shows and then voting for my favorites.

Because you guys are so awesome, I just went and signed up for Audible through your trial. I got Trumpet, so I’ll start listening to it during my commute.

    • Oh, and next time, in addition to totaling up all the different shows, you should count how many books were given away by authors and/or you because that is surely an amazing amount.

  6. The donate button has been created and now lives on the right side of the screen! Not that we’d use any of the contributions for booze, though. Only for merchandise give aways and site maintenance and stuff like that.

  7. If you weren’t so damn smart and funny, we’d ditch your ass! But we love you right back and you work hard to make Flicks & Swizzle Sticks a fantastic show. So there!

  8. Congrats on the win, Carrie! I was happy to see your name come up in the drawing.

And thank you for sticking around after you found the podcast. I hope you enjoy listening to the old shows as much as we enjoyed recording them!

    • Thanks Cheri! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m glad I did stick around, you an Andy are great!
I’m sure I will, Every episode all ways makes me laugh,

I’m so glad you decided to go with the donate button ๐Ÿ˜€ you guys deserve it!

  9. Lisa – Congrats on the win for Nat’s book! Hopefully, you’ve already heard from her and will be enjoying the book soon.

And a HUGE thank you for giving Audible a shot. I hope you enjoy Trumpet as much as I did. If you’re interested in discussing it, there’s a thread over at the Mostly Lesfic group on Goodreads.

Thanks for listening and for your support!

  10. I am so excited that a good amount of people liked the show that was for the auction benefitting me! Thanks everyone and thanks again to the whole Cocktail Hour staff for being so fabulous!
