Episode 84 – Favorite Romances

shortheader.jpg

Join me, Nikki, and Megan as we discuss some of our favorite lesbian romances!

Whoo hoo! We had a blast. Thank you so much to everyone who wrote in with questions and comments. If you want some of the featured postcards, shoot me an email at rev@cocktailhour.us and let me know which ones you want.

I did create an audio file for this show, even though I wasn’t going to, because we love our listeners and don’t want those who like to listen and not watch to miss out on anything.

  1. Excellent episode! I agree with most of them on all of your lists, I have a couple I haven’t read yet. But my all time go back to’s are Playing the Role of Herself, All That Matters, Without Warning, Starting from Scratch, and Fletcher’s Past Imperfect series. I never take those stories off my eReaders (I have multiple readers and they all have those stories on them) ๐Ÿ™‚
And I will be sure to catch Flicks this week!

  2. No one mentioned Gerri hill!! I LOVE her romances. ๐Ÿ˜€ no strings is my all time favourite, and I love the cottage but it ALWAYS makes me cry. I did like what was mentioned though. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Holy crap! You’re right. There are several of Gerri Hill’s romances that I do love. Good catch, Gooch!

Let me know if you want some of the postcards.

  3. Great show! I LOVE a lot of the stories y’all mentioned – All That Matters, Shaken, the Garoul series to name a few. And there were also a few I’d not heard of – I definitely have to check out TNovan’s Exposure series.

A few romances & writers on my bookshelf that no one mentioned are Glass Houses by Ciaran Llachlan Leaavitt, Carrie Carr’s Lex & Amanda series, and Maggie Ryan’s The Deal. Also a couple of my all time favorites that no one else seems to have heard of are The Fool’s Tale by L.J. Jones – it’s really good and funny too, and Beverly Shearer’s two westerns And Love Came Calling and When It’s Love.

PS, Nikki you have to get past the cover and read Stoner McTavish. She’s such a great character. (Luckily the cover on 4th edition I own pictures a rider in the distance on a mountain trail, though it does still look like it was done with markers or crayons…)

PPS, Megan and Rev. My favorite Kim Pretikel books that I’ve read multiple times online are Wild, Control (1049 Club tie in) and Revolution.

Geez, I better stop now. I could go on for hours. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • I LOVE Wild and Control!! And I also love 1049 Club. Glass Houses is very good, too. I can’t remember off the top of my head what the online version was called. I’m getting ready to record a new show so I can’t go look it up. It’s going to bother me, now…
