Episode 20 featured Beloved Pilgrim by Nan Hawthorne (http://nanhawthorne.com/)Â and a super tiny mention of In the Blood of the Greeks by Mary D. Brooks (http://www.pdafiction.com/maryd.htm). We didn’t plan it that way but Nan joined us for the show and the conversation was so good that we just couldn’t stop. This is one of our longer shows but it just flew by. If you love historical novels, you won’t want to miss this show. Or the Bosom Friends website which features reviews of historical fiction with lesbian characters and themes: http://lesbianhistoricalfiction.blogspot.com/.
The drink for this episode was the French Ginger Snap, which Andy ripped off from Colette Moody’s Facebook wall. It was tasty! Here’s how you make it:
- 2 parts Domaine de Canton
- 1 part citrus vodka
- ½ part triple sec
- ½ part fresh lemon juice
Shake and strain over ice. Garnish with an orange piece. We tried it this way and then tried it as a blended, frozen drink and it was heavenly!
