Yes, that’s right. J. M. Redmann joined Andy and me for a chat about, primarily, Micky Knight.
Now, if you’ve not read the Micky Knight series, you’ll want to beware of the spoilers. There are some big ones in here. We talk about Micky, New Orleans, writing mysteries, cosmopolitans, and got answers to some listener questions.
While Jean wouldn’t give up any big details about her upcoming Micky Knight book, Ill Will, due out in April 2012, she did tell us about a funny short story included in Women of Mystery, edited by Katherine V. Forrest, which looks to be out of print. (http://www.amazon.com/Women-Mystery-Anthology-Katherine-Forrest/dp/1560235438). If you have a chance to find the book, her story is called “Intersection of Camp and St. Mary’s” and we’d love to know what you think of it.
We hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed recording. Jean was GREAT fun! Be sure to read all the Micky Knight books, because they ROCK, and don’t forget the Women of the Mean Streets anthology. Which I’ll be reading as soon as I finish rereading the entire Micky Knight series. You can find all of Ms. Redmann’s books at Bold Strokes Books and we highly recommend them. Highly. http://www.boldstrokesbooks.com/categories.php?category=Paperback-Books/Lesbian-Fiction/Browse-by-Author/Redmann%2C-J.M.
OH! Here’s the recipe that we used for cosmopolitans:
1 oz  vodka (citrus or lemon vodka is really good, too!)
1/2 oz  triple sec
1/2 oz  Rose’s® lime juice
1/2 oz  cranberry juice
Instructions
Shake vodka, triple sec, lime and cranberry juice vigorously in a shaker with ice. Strain into a martini glass, garnish with a lime wedge on the rim, and serve.
