No, this isn’t a repost, Ann McMan braved another visit with me and Andy to chat about her book of short stories, Sidecar, and to share just a little bit about the soon to be released Aftermath. If you’re familiar at all with Ann’s work, you know this is going to be a great and funny show. And if you’re not familiar with Ann, you need to hustle your ass over to her website (www.annmcman.com) and get acquainted!
Ann sent me her recipe for the perfect Cosmo and I’m gonna share that with you below:
1 1/2 oz. Grey Goose or Ketel One Citron vodka
1/2 oz. Cointreau
1/4 oz. lime juice
3 oz. Cranberry juice
Shake over ice and pour into chilled glass with a slice of lime.
You know that here at the Cocktail Hour podcast, we like to give you, our dear listeners, a little something extra. Well, for this episode, we’re giving you two extras. That’s right, Ann is graciously giving up, your choice of ebook or paper, a copy of Sidecar and a copy of Aftermath (after it’s released, of course) for you to enjoy. Well, for two of you to enjoy. I suppose one of you could be doubly lucky if one person gets pulled for both. So here’s what you need to do: make a comment on this post letting us know which of Ann’s works is your favorite or why you’ve not read any yet. Please be sure to state which book you want to win. You can enter for both, if you like. I didn’t think of that earlier so this one’s a free for all! All comments must be made no later than 11/16 and the winner(s) will be announced on the next show. Easy peasy, right? Well get to listening and posting!
Oh! If you want to read the interviews that Ann did with the Clit-Con 13, here’s the link we discussed in the show: http://annmcman.com/theb-roll/

Great podcast! I love all of Ann’s books. Sidecar made me laugh until my sides ached and it was nice to visit with characters from Jericho. Jericho was the first book by Ann that I read and it remains my favorite. I would be thrilled to get a copy of Aftermath! Rock on ladies!
Thanks for the kind words, Michelle, and best of luck in the drawing!
I am commenting! I loved Jericho and Dust and am super excited to read Sidecar AND Aftermath!
Well, ease up on the knitting and get to reading! After you knit my mittens, of course.
Of course! Priorities, man!
Congrats on another fabulous episode! I have read and reread all of Ann’s books. I put Sidecar on my Kindle and risk ridicule when laughing out loud in public places. I would love a copy of Aftermath!
Thanks for commenting, Cheryl, and good luck!
I will state sidecar it has been on my TBR list.
Good luck, Michelle!
I loved the interview. I’m a big fan of Ann’s and loved “Sidecar”. It was one of the funniest things I’ve read in a while. The book displays at the convention were just brilliant. I’ve read all of Ann’s book. Dust also holds a place in my heart because of the Philly connection. Anyway I loved the interview. Thanks all.
Thanks for the comment Mary Anne! Good luck to you in the drawing!
Just to clear the Dust to make way for my response…I attached a Sidecar to my Kindle in preparation for the journey to Jericho. Now it’s the Aftermath of that trip that needs all my attention!
Fantastic! Best of luck to you!
Another great podcast with Ann McMan. My favorite so far is Jericho, but I am sure I will love the ClitCon story even more! Oh, and I want to win BOTH books ;-).
I think I’ll probably put everyone in the drawing for both books. Good luck, Alena. It’ll happen for you at some point.
Great episode! I’d have to say Jericho is my favorite by Ann so far. I currently have Sidecar on my to buy list & now I’ll need to add Aftermath too unless I win one. Please sign me up in both drawings…
Thanks Cindy! Best of luck in the drawings!
Sign me up for both, please. I read “Jericho” and it remains one of my favorites in the library thus far!
You got it. Good luck!
I loved Jericho and I’m going to re-read both Falling From Grace and Nevermore. Put me in for Aftermath, please. Also: y’all gotta do a teleplay!
You got it, NJ! Good luck!
I enjoy writing a lot. Found her first on ROAB. Please sign me up for both drawings.
Um, is it okay for me to mention that I’m a huge fan of Ann McMan? I’m also a fan of fried chicken, though I wouldn’t marry it like I did her.
