Conversations at the Bar with Jove Belle and Cake

Jove Belle stopped by to chat with us about her brand-spanking new novella, Cake, among other things.

Being the generous soul she is, Jove’s donating 10% of the profits from the sale of Cake to World Food Programme so if you needed another reason to pick up the novella, here’s your chance to give to a fantastic cause. And if you’ve already picked up a copy or you just want to kick in, here’s a link: http://www.wfp.org/

For those of you who love winning things, Jove is offering up an ebook or signed paperback copy of any of her books to one lucky listener who posts an idea for a smut-filled story in the comments. All entries received no later than March 4th will be eligible to win.

You can download a sample or purchase a copy of Cake by clicking here.

  1. I’m not a fiction writer, so I’m not sure that I have the right sort of creativity to come up with an idea for a book that would be three-quarters sex! 🙂 From a more technical perspective, I think the main issue would be to have enough of a plot and character development to keep my attention as a reader. So, the idea I’ll offer is more about structure. I think it would be an interesting idea to have a story in which the erotic encounters are spread out over the course of a year or two and in which these scenes include lots of personal discussions between the two women. That way you could squeeze in lots of character development and/or tension with the three-quarters erotica.
I’m definitely interested in reading Cake. And thanks, Jove, for your donations to such a great cause!

  2. Hi, I think the two main characters could keep turning up for the same job interviews, and have an encounter in the building they are interviewed in until one of them shows up for the interview only to find the person doing the interview is the person she’s had the erotic encounters with
